Promoting Road Safety in Keonjhar
Keonjhar: Odisha's Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has initiated the 'Zero Accident Day' campaign in his home district of Keonjhar to raise awareness about road safety. This initiative, organized by the Commerce and Transport Department, aims to transform Odisha into an accident-free state.
During the launch, Majhi emphasized that road safety is a shared responsibility, urging individuals to take part alongside the government. He highlighted the critical need for vigilance in areas like Keonjhar, where numerous heavy vehicles operate daily to transport minerals.
The 14-day campaign, supported by IIT-Madras, will focus on educating the public about accident prevention and enhancing road safety measures throughout the district.
